This year's AVA Conference was held in Brisbane Australia and thanks to the support of Guild Insurance and Hill's Pet Nutrition Australia, I had the opportunity to attend the conference.
Connecting with other professionals can help with every aspect of career development. At the #AVAConference, not only did I learn from the variety of lectures in the areas of small/large/ and exotic medicine, animal behaviour, dentistry, business, public health, and welfare, but I also really enjoyed getting to know other professionals in the veterinary field and learn from their experiences.
Attending meetings and social events hosted by your professional association is a great way to connect with people in your field and I hope to encourage other students to seize similar opportunities.
