Feeding Your Pet

Updated: Mar 20, 2022

Feeding Your Pet A High Quality Commercially Prepared Complete Food Is The Best Way To Ensure They Get A Balanced Healthy Diet!

It is virtually impossible to provide your pet with a correctly balanced diet by home preparing their meals, even if you follow recipes, and doing so on a regular basis can leave them dangerously nutritionally deficient.

Feeding them a complete food from a reputable company is the best way to ensure they get everything they need!

However, choosing a diet can be a challenge, there are so many options!

Look for a brand who employ a nutritionist with a PhD in animal nutrition or a Board Certified Veterinary Nutritionist. They should always meet the AAFCO (in the USA) or FEDIAF (in the EU) nutrition profile and have a complete nutritional analysis on the packaging, including all the vital vitamins and minerals.

In the U.K. they should be members of the Pet Food Manufacturers Association, The PFMA.

Ideally, they should also perform feeding trials to ensure their foods do what they say they do, especially if they are for the young, old or specific illnesses.

If you are in any doubt about what to feed, ask your vet!
